AIDA

Freedive Cape Town - Freediving

Aida is one of the first organizations devoted to the development of Freediving. In the past, competitions and records were not properly regulated, and freedivers felt the need to have their achievements recognized internationally.

Since 1992 Aida promotes competitive Freediving, setting rules for competitions and records and trains Freediving judges who are present at every competition and make sure that all the athletes around the world competes following the same rules.

Over the last years, Aida also got involved in the Freediving education, and did so by putting together several different courses, and training instructors and instructor trainers in order to develop its programs.

Linda and Lotta have been working in the Aida Education Commission between 2006 and 2009, and developed most of
the Aida course materials.

They have both been instructor trainers since 2007 and have trained over 50 instructors. Linda recently resigned from Aida and she no longer teaches the Aida system.

More info on Aida courses can be found on Freedive Dahab and Freedive Cape Town.
