Freediving Events

Since 2005 Freedive Dahab (FDD) is a well known organizer in the competitions world. We have organized over 25 competitions in the last 6 years. Some of them are well known International Competitions, like Triple Depth, which we organized every year since 2005. We also organize regularly record attempts in all disciplines, including the sled disciplines (Variable Weight and No Limits).Our yearly FDD Minicomp is a 2 days competition which follows 4 days of coached training, during which our experienced team coaches the participants through the procedures required during competition dives.

Over 100 national records and 8 world records had been set during our competitions and record attempts.

Competitions shouldn’t be open only to professional athletes, since they provide a lot of fun and experience for those who are new to the sport freedivers; this is why we have started promoting competitions for freedivers at beginner/intermediate level.

Through Freedive Cape Town we have started promoting this philosophy also in South Africa, by organizing pool competitions opened also to all the students that have participated to our courses.

All our competitions are AIDA (Association for the Development of Apnea) ranked.
